For those that think you need to have acres and acres of land to live off the grid, check out this family who grows everything they need to eat on just 1/5th of an acre in the suburbs.

This family lives entirely off their little piece off land, and the whole family lives on under $30,000 a year. This is a really cool video and it shows how you can really survive without the so called “modern conveniences”

Imagine living in a house built out of tin cans, tires and other various recycled materials. Oh yeah, did I mention they are totally off the grid and you can grow your own food right in your house?

Check out this interesting story of Keith Thompson, a guy who decided to live completely off the Grid.

Keith started with a plot of land that had no road, no power or water lines,and no access to any kind of utilities. He built his house by hand , dug a well, created a solar power system and is living his dream of off grid living.
