Well it looks like even President-elect Barack Obama knows that things are on the way down the tubes! Over the weekend he said “the economy seems destined to get worse”
So How bad are things?
- Employers eliminated more than 500,000 jobs in just the month of November, the most in 34 years.
- A record 1 in 10 American homeowners, who have a mortgage, are at least a month behind on their mortgage or in some phase of foreclosure.
- Total Job Losses for the Year so far – 1.9 million
- More than one-third of Americans chose not to shop at all last month.
- Government Bailout hits a staggering $8.5 trillion
- The Use of Food Stamp are at All-Time Highs
- Some Annalists are actually predicting the break-up of America
