One of the country’s top gun control groups, The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, is telling its members to break the law and put the lives of police officers and gun owners on the line. In their latest attempt to push their crazy anti-gun agenda, The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence is urging its members to start calling 911 on anyone who is conceal carrying or open carrying a firearm in public.
The radical gun control group posted the message on their Facebook page, asking people to essentially break the law, since they are trying to trick emergency service into thinking there is a critical life-threatening emergency. The tactic, something known as Swatting, is putting not only law abiding gun owners and police at risk, but anyone who is on the scene when these police officers arrive.
Here is a screenshot of one of the messages the group posted on their Facebook Page earlier this month:
They pulled the original post after being accused of Swatting, but they are back at it again posting the same advice earlier today.
This sets up a dangerous trend, as many of their members immediately started calling on others to trick emergency services into thinking law abiding gun owners were threatening the public. The tactic is no different than Swatting, a tactic activist groups have used to trick emergency service into dispatching responders based on a false reports.
“This practice is exactly what they [Coalition to Stop Gun Violence] are doing,” said Erich Pratt, spokesman for Virginia-based Gun Owners of America. “It’s one thing if someone is using a gun in an illegal or unlawful manner. No one is questioning that. But this clearly sounds like swatting.”
Here are some of their Wacky Members bragging about using the tactic and encouraging others to do the same:
These people are putting law-abiding citizens in real danger. They are filing false reports to push their political agenda, and setting up tense situations where law enforcement thinks they are walking into a dangerous situation.
