Less than 24 hours after two psychopathic drug addicts gunned down police officers in Nevada, the anti-gun idiots in congress – lead by Harry Reid – are trying to use the tragedy to push their agenda.
Earlier this morning Senator Harry Reid went to the house floor to call for more gun control legislation in the wake of yesterday’s violence.
Reid said: “We in Congress have a duty to put in place legislation that helps prevent these deranged, these weird, these evil people who carry out such savage acts of violence,” Reid said on the Senate floor. “A step in the right direction would be universal background checks, so that people who are criminals, who are deranged, can’t buy a gun.”
What he failed to mention was the fact that one of the shooters was stopped by someone who was legally carrying a concealed handgun in Walmart. Instead, Reid and the rest of the slime balls in the media are trying to paint the psychopathic couple as tea party activists, while at the same time ignoring the real hero in this situation, because highlighting someone who was conceal carrying would be a little inconvenient to their narrative.
A Culture of Violence….
What gets me every time one of these shootings happens is how people completely ignore our insane culture of violence. The same idiots in the media, the government, and in Hollywood who can’t stop blaming guns, are the same people who push a culture of immorality and violence.
How can we blame guns, while ignoring the violence and immoral garbage that is pushed on society every day?
We now have Emmy Award winning T.V. shows that glorify Meth Users.
What message do today’s kids receive when a show like Breaking Bad – whose main character is a meth user and meth dealer –wins award after award and is celebrated by the mainstream media? During the Finale of the Show, the Huffington post actually ran the headline “Celebrate ‘Breaking Bad’ Finale With This ‘Blue Meth’ Cocktail.”
REALLY???? So now we have mainstream news organizations thinking Meth use is funny? I guess it shouldn’t really be a shocker since convicted killers and drug dealers are now celebrated and invited to the White House. Is it any wonder there are so many mixed up people out there?
We don’t have a gun problem; we have a culture problem.
By all accounts, the two people who committed these awful acts of violence were Meth addicts. But instead of focusing on whether drugs had anything to do with what happened the media instead focuses on politics and tries to play this off as some right vs left issue. And just like with every other tragedy, the American people buy it hook, line, and sinker.
On the same weekend that this happened in Las Vegas, over 30 people were shot in Chicago. Where are the headline news stories over the violence in Chicago? Is the gang violence that plagues the streets of Chicago not important, or is the narrative inconvenient to those who want to push a certain agenda?
After all, Chicago is one of the most anti-gun cities in America, where law-abiding citizens find it almost impossible to purchase a firearm. Yet, Chicago has the highest murder rates in the country.
We have a REAL PROBLEM in this country. There are far too many crazy people committing awful acts of violence, and this is an issue that should concern everyone. When the simple act of sitting inside a restaurant becomes a risk to your life, you really have to take a serious look at what’s going on here.
There are crazy people in this world – crazy people on both sides of the political aisle – but blaming this on political ideology does nothing to solve the real problems that are facing us.
