Importance of Survival Planning

Having a good plan will help to increase your chances of survival should you ever be placed in a situation that has gone out of control.

The most important element of a good survival plan is preparation. Preparation means having the right survival items and knowing how and when to use them. For instance, people who live in areas with snow should prepare their vehicles for things that can happen during bad road conditions. Blankets, gloves, hats, extra warm clothes, and a shovel would be a couple things that you should never leave home without. Having a shovel on hand could be the difference between spending a cold night in a ditch or a warm cozy night in your own bed.

So whether you live in the cold or the extreme heat of the desert, you need to have a survival plan that will help you when things go wrong.
