New Orleans Enacts dusk-to-dawn curfew ahead of Hurricane Gustav

The National Guard is preparing to patrol evacuated neighborhoods of New Orleans in face of Huricane Gustav. The Mayor,who screwed up so badly during Katrina, has now instituted a dusk-to-dawn curfew that will be in place until the storm has passed. The curfew will allow them to arrest residents if they are not on their own property.

Residents are not waiting around this time, people have been heading out of New Orleans for the last couple days, some saying that they will not be coming back.

Still, there were a few holdouts. And there are reports that some residents are stocking up on guns and ammunition to make sure that their property is protected this time around. Lets just hope that the police focus on the real criminals this time, instead of taking guns from law abiding citizens.
