obama executive orderPresident Obama, surrounded by children and victims of the recent school shootings, announced that his administration will be working with congress to pass a wide range of gun control measures and bans. He also announced that his administration will be issuing at least 23 executive orders related to guns.

Obamacare To Be Used To Push Gun Control

As part of president Obama’s 23 executive actions, the White House is asking doctors to essentially spy on their patients. The Department of Health and Human Services is issuing a letter to health care providers encouraging them to ask probing questions about guns.

Doctors will be expected to ask patients about firearms in their homes, and will be asked to find out how these guns are being stored. The directive also asks them to report any suspicious behavior directly to the federal government.

Some of the 23 executive orders include:

  • Require federal agencies to make data available to the federal background check system
  • Adds medical and insurance information to background check system.
  • Encourages states to share information with the background check system.
  • Attorney General to add more “prohibited categories of people” to background check system.
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to research the causes of gun violence and gun culture.

There you go folks. More tax dollars wasted. “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to research the causes of gun violence and gun culture.” It’s not a fracking disease you morrons….IT’S A FRACKING RIGHT TO OWN A FIREARM. No one buys a firearm and then becomes infected with a disease or virus and has to commit violence. WTF? Over!

I hear you on that brother!! Im guessing recent research shows now firearms are the major reason people get the bird flu, AIDS, herpies, alzheimers, and parkinsons disease. Maybe I should put a condom on my 1911 before it goes under my pillow at night so I dont catch anything.

      SCOUTS OUT!!!

Oh my god. Shut up. These aren’t even that big of a deal and anything is better than guns being banned outright. There’s nothing wrong with the bullet pointed executive orders.

It’s idiots like you that have allowed this country to turn to shit

Whether you like it or not, you are in the minority. People feel like they are losing their right to live their lives due to nuts and thugs with guns. I would be interested in what solution you have to stop these shootings, because people are sick of it.

          • steve says:

we cant stop nut jobs from getting guns and going on a shooting spree nor can we take guns off the streets it would be better if law abididing citezens had concealed carry

YOU sir, are an Ostrich with your head in the ground! First these illegal executive orders, then eventual confiscation! As usual, ObaMao is circumventing the law and is attempting an “end around” congress. Are you incapable of understanding these simple concepts? Geeze.

CDC has been doing this for years, their conclusion is that at this time there is NO soloution,,to many controling factors.

That is why you should always answer “no” to any doctor or nurse who asks you if you own a firearm. They submit these answers to the fed and state agencies. Your own honesty will come back to haunt you. The less Big Brother knows about you and your personal business, the better.

What you say is very true. Other people are happy with their heads in the sand and then complain after their rights have been taken away. And they think it will never happen here in the United States land of the free.

“According to Fox News, the following list was provided by the White House.

None take direct action at limiting what can and can’t be owned.

Once we know more details about these we will update the list and possibly break them down individually.

It does appear many of these will require federal funding, which can be denied by Congress.

    1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.

    2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.

    3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.

    4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.

    5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.

    6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.

    7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.

    8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).

    9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.

    10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.

    11. Nominate an ATF director.

    12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.

    13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.

    14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.

    15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.

    16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.

    17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.

    18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.

    19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.

    20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.

    21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.

    22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.

    23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.

ALL a bunch of far left BULLSHIT, over half of this stuff is allready in place, and the rest should be common sence for adult law adidding people, said nothing about giving automatic stiffer sentences for people using a gun in a crime, but that would br racisist because most of these crimes are drug related black on black inner city gangs.

Common sense isn’t common anymore, but a fresher course on things if always a good thing, people forget procedure all the time, or just think it doesn’t apply to them.

Pediatricians have been asking about “smoking and firearms in the home” at every office visit for years now.

      I do not.

      I have none.

  4. ar says:

Gun violence is do to lack of respect got life, and selfishness, when I see grown people have road rage in an school parking lot its obvious,I see drivers yell at crossing guards in the same school zone. Also a lack of what guns education, people posting pictures of their baby sucking on the end of guns,. More rules won’t change that asking doctors to spy on people will only make everyone jittery about who they can trust, how about education tall education not brain washing about how guns are evil. We need to get back to helping your neighbor, block parties, spirit of giving year round not just in December.

    • DEB says:

      Very well said AR.

      • Cplusmc says:

Rumor I have read is that once again congress is attacking the media on gun violence in games, movies, and tv. But honestly (don’t all chop my head off lol) but what they need to attack is not gun violence in media but the bullshit like teen mom, and anything else that shows our young generation that its ok to go outside to the mall, or in public to dress or act In a way that makes them look like a target for early pregnancy or molestation, it’s bullshit they rather take away our rights to bear arms! Cuz of little dipshits that plead the insanity card rather than, letting you kids do what ever they want because of what they watch on tv with their so called not ready parents!
