		<description>The Adirondacks in NY enclose the largest wilderness in the eastern US. There are &quot;bazillions&quot; of miles of hiking, cross-country skiing and canoeing routes. My daughter is doing her 2nd hike on the Appalachian Trail this year. She plans to hike from Georgia to Maine for 6 to 8 months.
