Who could have seen it coming? The nationalization of our banking system, the collapse on wall street, the downfall of real estate, who could have known?
Well anyone with half a brain should have seen this coming! Did people really think that houses could go up $100,000 in one year? Did they really think the house they bought in 2004 at $125,000 was worth over 300,000 in less than 3 years? Was the collapse really that shocking?
It seems that all we have heard this year was the collapse this, the bailout that…. Well I’m sick of hearing it, I seen it coming, and so did everyone else in America that can still think for themselves.
And you know what else? I also don’t buy into the whole bad economy thing. Yea of course things are bad out there, but maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
Hopefully this whole mess will cause people to wake up and realize that they can’t live their lives on borrowed money. You really don’t need a $10,000 Big Screen, HD, WiFi, Bluetooh, whatchamacallit DVD enabled, internet ready T.V / Gadget. YOU DON’T NEED IT!!!!
If you can’t afford to pay for it with cash, you can’t afford it. It’s time to wake up people, life isn’t easy, and you are not entitled to have every new gadget that comes out. Your not entitled to get a free handout because you took out 8 mortgages to finance your lifestyle. Your not entitled to a new house if you work at McDonald’s. YOU CAN’T AFFORD IT!
My New Years Resolutions for everyone in America.
- People discover the difference between a want and a need
- That people stop trying to keep up with their neighbor.
- That Americans get back to what made America a great country; Hard Work, Saving Money, Morality, and good old fashion Family Values
- That people put down the remote, throw there T.V,’s out the window and start to think for themselves for a change. Stop letting the media and advertising companies tell you how to feel and what you should buy.
Good bye 2008, let’s all hope that 2009 will be a better year for everyone.

I totally agree, people need to stop watching the news, all of it is slanted. Get out and live the life without all of our gadgets and nice to haves. yes, i agree we need cell phones for communications,but one that can do everything that NASA or NORAD does is not practical. stop trying to keep up with technology, YOU WONT WIN. keep the same cell phone for 5-7 years, it works, it really does.
