Is Swine Flu the next killer pandemic?

I hate to be a skeptic about something that could potentially be a danger to public health, but how many times has the media tried to scares us into thinking the next pandemic was here?

Sars, The Avian Bird Flu, West Nile Virus, Drug Resistant TB & Staph infections…… When will it ever end?

While this is a survival site, and I always believe the best course of action is to be prepared for anything, I am also growing very tired of the media’s scare tactics. From Shark attacks to made up pandemics they never seem to cover what people really want to see.

If this is such a problem, why have we not stopped any incoming flights from mexico? The truth is the media cares more about ratings than solutions, if they cared about your safety they would be dedicating there coverage to why we have not closed the airports. But we all no that would not be politically correct, so for now we just have the Swine Flu scare of 2009.
