Total Blackout on Island of Oahu

News December 27, 2008
After being battered by storms, the island of Oahu has lost power , leaving over 800,000 residents and tourists in the dark. The entire Island has lost power and it will be at least 12 hours, possibly longer before the power company can restore power to the island.
Reports from the Island are coming in that a large number of the islands residents were trapped in parking lots and on clogged highways as everyone tried to get home at the same time.
Many of the Islands radio stations are broadcasting emergency information, and officials are advising residents to get to their homes and find a way to store water.

It’s scary and going to happen. Oahu gets its power knocked out by fairly strong winds time to time (Recently 3/11/2012). The idea of some “storm”, earth quake, and or tsunami to knock out power would be crippling. Within the 12hr power outage hospitals will be overrun with its limited power and overwhelming patients caused by the event. Traffic will be WORSE due to debris on roads and over flux of commuters rushing to get to their residents. GAS lanes, FOOD establishments, and ICE to cool food will be rushed with in the first hour to stock up for the families and ones self. It’s sad to think history repeats it’s self and we are to dumb to learn from it. BE INDEPENDANT BUT NOT ALONE! Prepare and stand together.
