2nd Nurse Comes down with Ebola: Flew across Country While infected

As a second case of Ebola stemming from the original Ebola patient is now confirmed inside the United States, some very troubling news is coming out about how ill prepared this country is to stop Ebola. According to the nation’s largest nurses’ union, National Nurses United, the hospital that treated Thomas Eric Duncan was learning how to contain the deadly Ebola virus on the fly.

Conditions were so bad in the Dallas hospital that blood, vomit and diarrhea-soaked hazardous materials were left in open hospital rooms piled to the ceiling – a far cry from the CDC assurances that U.S. hospitals were ready to treat and stop Ebola in its tracks.

There will be more infection…

The National Nurses Union is warning that more infection are likely, as information leaks out about what really happened during the treatment of this country’s first case of Ebola.

The initial patient was left in an open area of the Dallas emergency room for hours, potentially exposing hundreds to the deadly virus. When nurses finally started working on the patient, they worked for days without proper protective equipment, at times being told to just use medical tape to cover open areas of skin.

According to the Nurses Union, the hospital had no real safety protocols in place, and the CDC did absolutely nothing to stop the outbreak within the hospital. In fact, the patients’ blood samples were actually sent via the hospital’s pneumatic tube delivery system, opening the possibility of contaminating the specimen delivery system.

CDC was not monitoring the Nurses: Nurse Flew Commercial Airline Flight day before coming down with Symptoms.

This morning, the criminally incompetent CDC – who assured us they were monitoring all potential Ebola cases – announced that the second nurse diagnosed with Ebola traveled by air Oct. 13, the day before she first reported symptoms.

The nurse traveled on Frontier Airlines flight 1143 Cleveland to Dallas/Fort Worth. Over 132 passengers were on the flight; the CDC is now asking them to immediately contact the CDC.

The CDC has no real Plan to Contain Ebola, and if they do have one they have allowed political correctness to trump their plans.

At this point it’s pretty clear the CDC has no idea what they’re doing. From continuing to allow passengers from the hot zone in West Africa to board flights to the U.S., to completely failing to keep healthcare workers in Dallas safe, the CDC has lost all credibility. They’ve allowed political correctness to trump common sense safety protocols that would have never allowed this infection in the country to begin with. And now that Ebola has reached the U.S., they’ve dropped the ball at every step of the way.

    • They are doing their job, of pretending to do the job we are told we voted for them to do, but in reality, they have a much different plan for us all.

  1. why was she in cleveland she knew she was at risk isnt there a well known medical facility there wonder if they turned her away just a thought

    • Becuase she was a liberal Obama voter. These people only care a out themselves just like the idiot who came here and started this outbreak. By tomorrow Jesse Jackson will be out there screaming about how this woman was infected becuase of racist policies.

  2. In the final analysis, this is the fault of an administration that refused to block air travel from the affected nations.

  3. Good report and thanks. I have not seen any mention of the flight she had to have taken to get from Dallas where she works to Cleveland in the first place. the passengers should also be contacted I would assume.

    • Only two flights per week from DFW to Cleveland on Frontier are nonstop, both are numbered 1143 (Friday and Monday only). All other flights layover in Denver. This means an exponential number of additional people could have been exposed.

  4. Our country has failed us. Why would a person be allowed to fly commercial after just treating a person with ebola???? How can anyone of us be safe. we have no idea where all those ppl were flying to and now they are at risk when they should feel it safe to fly. Not knowing who is on the flight now is very scary.. How will we be able to get this under control before it spreads like fire? Our administration needs to get a handle on this FAST!!! with holidays coming and so many ppl flying this could spread rapidly. Nothing seems to be being done about this. This is a VERY serious matter!!!!

    • This administration doesn’t care. Yesterday right when all his was breaking the wonderful First Lady michelle obola was uploading rap videos to VINE or her dancing, twerking, and rapping about eating your vegetables. You really can’t make this shit up

      • I almost puked when I saw that video. Really frockin classy. Can you imagine any other First Lady doing that crap? What a pig.

  5. Well not to mention that US is hotspot for international travel if this virus actually spreads too much.. people could carry it all over the world. By the way a heads up Ebola virus doesn’t like much sun nor heat but likes dark and normal/cold temperatures, which means it could spread faster.

  6. This could all fizzle out or it could get worse. Either way, hasn’t something like this been featured in a made for TV movie? …and how did it end? Send the CDC a VHS copy…

  7. The situation is getting worse. There is no doubt in my mind. The medical facilities to be built in Africa by US troops will not be ready until mid November per what I read. That will come too late. The virus is spreading too fast. The thing that concerns me, and I am being selfish I admit, is it spreading in this country. I will say this, and I am using the example of what happened 1918 during the Pandemic, the virus that is in Dallas now is not the same “animal” as the one in March. It is more infectious and dangerous.

  8. Addendum. I just read that there is a low low risk of the 2d health worker infecting the other passengers on her flight, since she did not vomit or was bleeding. My question is: did she use the restroom? If she did, is there a possibility of urine being spattered onto the floor or seat and others walking in it or getting it on their hands? Bldg Svc workers always tell me how messy bathrm floors are. And I don t mean with dirt, either. If so, isn’t urine a body fluid and what is the level of risk now?

  9. Nigeria had one guy fly in from Liberia. They immediately shut down their borders to anyone from the countries affected by Ebola. They have had 20 cases with 8 deaths, no new cases since the beginning of September. They are 1 week away from being declared Ebola free. Now why can’t the US be that smart???
