Times certainly have changed. While the idiots in the media would like you to believe that most Americans want stricter gun laws, the numbers show something entirely different.
Americans overwhelmingly oppose the idea of banning handguns and even so called “assault rifles”. In fact, Americans are becoming more Pro-Gun than any other time in history. A recent Gallup poll showed that only 26% of Americans favored a ban on Handguns.
At one time that number was actually over 60%, so what exactly changed?
First, I think most Americans are finally waking up to the fact that the media’s portrayal of gun owners as anti-government wackos, is far from the truth. People are finally realizing that it’s not only smart to own a gun, but in my opinion it’s our patriotic duty as Americans.
In fact, it was George Washington who stated that “Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence.”
The second thing that’s changed, is people are finally realizing that they need to be self-reliant. People are waking up to the fact that the government can barely manage their own affairs, let alone ensure our safety in a time of crisis. I think this is reflective in the record number of people purchasing firearms over the last year.
According to the FBI, Americans bought a record number of firearms over the Christmas season. In fact, more than 1.5 million background checks were requested by gun dealers in December of 2011. That’s the highest number of background checks ever requested in a single month.
According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation, 10.8 million firearms were sold in 2011, an increase of over 50% from ten years before.
Despite the change, lawmakers seem to be increasing their efforts to limit your right to bear arms.
During the last couple of weeks, a number of alarming anti-gun pieces of legislation have being pushed across the country.
NEW JERSEY TO OUTLAW AMMUNITION
Mac Salvo over at SHTFplan, ran an article a couple of days ago that described an attempt by New Jersey lawmakers to ban the sale of ammunition. In this blatant attempt to skirt the 2nd Amendment, lawmakers in New Jersey are trying to push two Anti-Gun bills, Assembly Bill 588 and Assembly Bill 1013.
This legislation would effectively allow them to ban all handgun ammunition as well as some rifle ammunition.
ILLINOIS TO CRIMINALIZE GUN OWNERSHIP
The Anti-Gun politicians in Chicago are proposing three bills that would criminalize law abiding citizens who own semiautomatic firearms.
House Bill 1294 will ban semi-automatic handguns, rifles and shotguns in the state and bring about the confiscation of every semiautomatic firearm. The bill will also ban certain firearm parts as well as .50 caliber rifles.
House Bill 1599 will re-classify a number of semi-automatic handguns, rifles and shotguns as “assault weapons.” It then would increase the penalties and jail time of anyone who is in violation of HB1294.
House Bill 1855 will turn anyone who is victimized and has a gun stolen into a potential criminal subject to investigation. The bill creates penalties for those that fail to report a missing weapon in an arbitrarily determined time-frame. That means that law enforcement would be able to investigate anyone who is victimized and reports a missing firearm. They turn you into the criminal instead of looking for the real criminals.
We need to be on guard and pay attention to what’s going on. While gun ownership is at an all-time high, the Anti-Gun politicians are shaking in their boots. I believe the next couple of years will be significant in the fight to keep lawmakers from taking away our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms.
We need to stay vigilant and need to keep an eye on the gun grab that’s sure to come.

Americans have become docile sheep, afraid of their own shadows. I seriously doubt enough Americans will protect their rights, to include gun rights. The china virus has shown that people will obey orders not to go to church, allow their children’s education to be disrupted; and hand over increasing amounts of their money through taxes. All this without any accountability. No, I fear we are going to lose our freedoms. Americans are more concerned with faggotry, than their rights. Sad but true.

what do we do about this? is there nothing we can do? i talk to these liberal guys all the time and people who believe guns are violent and they are so against them. saying the constitution should change with the times and stupid things like that. what would happen if they came to collect your guns and you refused? and what happens when you have your bug out bag ready and your weapons are now missing? because im pretty sure criminals will still have there guns and will not care about the laws. obviously right? haha. lots of questions, i just dont understand how the country and greatest country of all, can now be ripping apart the foundation on which it was built.

You do not let things get to the point of having your weapons “missing”. Major alarm bells about the state your country has descended to when they try this should be blaring in your ears, and you should then realize that the war against you has now started. Do you intend to be armed, or not, when this declaration happens? If you allow your weapons to be taken, you have just handed your life over to the killers.
Ok another disturbing thing that is happening right now is the FBI with their NICS criminal background check are randomly denying firearm purchases to law abiding gun owners that have conceal carry permits, which in my state also acts like a 5 year permit to purchase, just so they can require them to submit finger prints for their records. This happened to my best friend yesterday, and after further digging I have discovered this has happened to numerous people in the area at a broad range of gun stores. Their excuse when called about it was that they have to make sure he is who he says he is, which brought on the response “If you have never ‘printed’ me how do you know it is really me anyway?” There was no awnser to that at all. They are building their national weapons owner registry people!!!! Welcome to the New World Order folks where the fear of the masses drives the body politic to take away your rights in the name of security and you sit back and smile cuz your “safe”!!!
Yep I never had a problem until I got my ccw. Since then I have had nothing but trouble when buying guns. Randomly turned down or I get caught in the background void that seems to drag on forever

I wonder if the cops and swat will turn all of their weapons, since it will be against the law to have certain weapons? This is just another ploy to get our weapons from us. Now the banning of ammo was almost a stroke of genius but many of us already have our stores ready right? This bunch is trying to turn this into a commie state. We are not china or russia. SUGGESTION, since our politicians, aka the “managers” we hired to manage our country, took an OATH, which is a legal and binding contract, and they want to keep submitting legislation to take away our constitutional rights, WHICH IS ILLEGAL, I say we file lawsuits against them and kick them out!
FACT: THEY ARE BREAKING THE SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND, WHICH THEY TOOK AN OATH TO SUPPORT! AKA THE CONSTITUTION!! Since that’s breaking the law, we need to either arrest them and-or file lawsuits and kick them out!

So, if they break the law, do a “citizens arrest” and file charges against them!!
Even better, check out Tom Woods and Nullification. Nullification is an act whereby a sovereign state refuses to uphold unconstitutional laws. Much easier to handle this at a state level. And in the interest of non-violent revolution, by all means, leave any state that denies you your constitutional rights.

They can’t come right out and say “guns are illegal” and everyone must stop RIGHT NOW because then all gun owners would be “loading their guns” getting ready for a fight.
What they do, and what they’ve been doing for the past 100 years, is to very slowly and very cautiously submit legislation to make changes in very small amounts.
IE: like in this article, changing shotguns and rifles to “assault rifles.”
By working on very small things, and doing it across America in all 50 states, they very slowly change our laws and take away our Constitutional Rights!!
SOLUTION: IMMEDIATELY CHARGE THOSE POLITICIANS THAT SUBMIT ANY LEGISLATION THAT HAVE TO DO WITH LIMITING OUR GUN RIGHTS WITH TREASON, PERJURY AND SEDITION.

Gun confiscation was one of the things that happened in Germany before WW2. Once the politicians feel that they have the upper hand on the population/citizens then they will do anything they want which is already starting. Once the laws of the Constitution are ignored then there will be no rule of law in the U.S. and we will be at the mercy of the dictators. When that happens where do we escape to, what country is as free as The United State. The U.S. will be the end of the line,the last stop for freedom in the world. Now is the time to defeat the dictatorial elements in the government both Democrats and Republicans,hopefully at the ballot box. (Otherwise Remember The Alamo)

Guns right in Georgia could be getting more liberal. Legislation is on the table for open carry of weapons and removal of the CWP classes and license.
American gun owners make up the largest armed group, call it an army, in the entire world. As a group we have the ability and duty to protect our rights, for ourselves and our children. Join a gun group. Trigger the vote. NOBAMA in 2012 amen.
