This morning, billions of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp users collectively lost their minds as they were no longer able to log in and spend countless hours wasting their time on social.
Without commenting on the cause of the unprecedented outage, Facebook confirmed on Monday that users worldwide were unable to access applications owned by the company, including Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus. Facebook said it is looking into the issue and apologized for the inconvenience.
While the cause for the outages was not immediately confirmed, it seems to be much larger than a simple outage.

Just imagine the chaos that will happen when they shutdown the internet and the phones!
Besides highlighting how utterly addicted much of the planet is to these apps, it also gave us a look at how dependent people are on vulnerable systems that can disappear overnight – either through government shutdowns, cyber-attacks, or other nefarious actions.
While some may say this is hyperbole, the fact is the World Economic Forum has already floated the idea of preemptively shutting down the internet to “stop Cyber-attacks with COVID-like characteristics” — whatever the hell that means!
On Friday, July 9, 2021 the Cyber Polygon cyber-conference, hosted by the notorious World Economic Forum Centre for Cybersecurity, will look at what they say is a “cyber-attack with COVID-like characteristics”.
Back in July, the Biden administration called for a social media purge of people spreading so-called “misinformation”. They actually admitted that they were violating your constitutional rights and were instructing social media platforms on What ‘Problematic’ Content Should Be Removed from the Internet!
Jen Psaki just suggested that people spreading misinformation be banned from other/all platforms if they’re banned from one. pic.twitter.com/SlNXJTXi0I— jordan (@JordanUhl) July 16, 2021
If you haven’t looked into alternative ways to gather intelligence, please read Ham Radio Prepper’s article on The Importance of government and shortwave Radio Monitoring and Intelligence Gathering During Crisis Situations.
I don’t trust anything I hear from the mainstream media, and even the internet has become tightly controlled and a vast majority of the popular sites have been bought off long ago by large media conglomerates. For another look at what the rest of the world is saying, we suggest getting a radio to monitor international shortwave stations, local police and first responder frequencies, military communications, ham radio communications, and any other kind of radio transmission you can think of.
