In the latest attempt to rub out the family farm, the Federal Government is targeting a rancher in Nevada by sending in armed agents, armored vehicles and low-lying helicopters to steal the rancher’s cattle.
Cliven Bundy, who has been fighting the federal government’s attempts to shut him down for the last 20 years, is in a bitter battle that just took a turn for the worse. Over the weekend, armed federal agents from the Bureau of Land Management stormed Bundy’s land, stealing over 500 of the rancher’s cattle.
The government claims the cattle were illegally grazing on government land; but Bundy, who has been a rancher all his life, says he’s been doing it this way for decades. In fact, his cattle are grazing on the same land that his father and father’s father used to raise their cattle.
The trouble started in 1993 when Bundy refused to pay the feds for the right to allow his cattle to graze on land that he claims has been in his family since the 1880s. His family actually owned the land before the Bureau of Land Management ever even came into existence; so how the federal government can now claim they own the land is a bit puzzling.
“We own this land,” he said, not the feds. He said he is willing to pay grazing fees but only to Clark County, not BLM.
“Years ago, I used to have 52 neighboring ranchers,” he said. “I’m the last man standing. How come? Because BLM regulated these people off the land and out of business.”
So why now?
According to the feds, this is all about protecting the desert tortoise. Yep, apparently protecting a turtle is now reason enough to storm a man’s property and illegally steal his cattle.
Just before the round-up began, Bundy claims armed federal agents surrounded his 150-acre ranch.
“They’ve been bringing men in and equipment and setting up a compound,” Bundy told FoxNews.com Monday. “They got helicopters flying low. They got snipers around the ranch. Our access to public lands has been blocked.”
Bundy says he’s extremely fearful that the federal government is trying to turn this into another Ruby Ridge or Waco situation. The BLM has closed public lands in Clark County while they work on a plan to round up the “trespassing” cattle. Only marked vehicles are being allowed into the area and “free speech zones” have been set up several miles from the ranch in an attempt to corral protestors who have made their way into the area.
“I’ve tried to fight this thing legally, and I’ve tried to fight it politically,” Bundy said. “We’ve got one more fight. We the people haven’t fought yet.”

“He was there to do some filming when about 11 federal agents pulled up and arrested him,” Bundy told Las Vegas News 3. “They said he was outside of the First Amendment area and they took him down. We don’t know where he is now.”
So which is it? Either his family owns the land or not. If he really owns the land, why is he willing to pay grazing rights to clark county?
Sounds like he is holding a grudge against the BLM. Well I say tough…Pay your bills.

There is a lot more to the story than what is being told. From what I see in the photo this guy has some scrub desert land he is running cattle on. He has a “150 acre ranch”. You can run only a few cattle on that acreage. But he says they have taken over 500 head. Well, if you run that many cattle on that type of land you need an aweful lot of land. Several square miles. If he doesn’t have a lease or a deed to the land, then he is breaking the law. Period. And have ignored the law for several decades the action has been forced. What if everyone decided to do this? I am not a fan at all of the fed, but I think this guy is full of it.
wow, uhm the land is supposedly PUBLIC so anyone can go there public land is not really open to trespassing and last I knew property isn’t capable of trespass either and cattle are property.

This could be the test case; If everyone don’t help this poor guy out, they will keep rolling along, steeling and taking whatever they like. They are criminals, and people should rise up and stop them, They are no longer for the American people, but for the banksters, you need to turn up in the 1000s, and stop them all.
The sad part of your response is that you state that “. . .you should show up b y the 1000s” to help this guy. Unfortunately, we are also slaves to this same system and can’t afford time off to go help with issues like this. We are working the first 4 months of they year just to pay the “taxes”. That leaves us only 8 months to feed our families. Not much extra time in there to go help people out. And, unfortunately, the people that could afford to do it are likely buddies with the ones who are doing the oppressing. So unless something changes. . .Agenda 21 will soon be in full effect!

The 34th State just signed on for a Constitutional Convention thus meeting the required 2/3 needed, first time in American history. What does this mean? Section 5 states they can vote to totally DISBAND the Federal Government, the Feds have NO say in the matter! We need to follow this one closely. Of course you will see nothing about this on TV, only the Internet.

It amazes me how no one has mentioned the fact that this man is willing to pay locally, and that he’s actually WORKING for a living. And someone did mention the fact that our freedom of speech is not only taken away at airports, police stations and elsewhere, but now on public land out in the open.. the gov’t is taking freedoms away little by little and it all started with 911, staged as a means for future use to take everything away from US folk, in the ‘guise of “safety”. Are you aware the UN has decided it is in charge of our National Lands, parks, monuments and are the driving force that is against our Constitutional rights and freedoms? Someone said that the son of Harry Reid, represents EEN Energy Group–the Chinese Energy conglomerate that wants to create the solar farm on this land. Have you heard anything about that? and also Infowars also said something about a Reid/Chinese energy connection with this land. Have you heard anything about that? Also, have you heard about the agreements being long, confusing, and ridiculous terms that ranchers have to sign BEFORE they pay, and what ranchers are saying about how the BLM has been changing the terms and conditions and the affect it is on the ranchers(wiping out their livelihoods sometimes by 90%) at the stroke of a pen? That doesn’t sound like fair and honest government to me. but I am trying to get more information.
The Clark County Sheriff does not list an E mail address. Perhaps he resides in one of those “first amendment free zones” and lacks the cahonies to stand up for a citizen of Clark County. Perhaps he is a lap dog of Little Harry. Not all County Sheriffs are friends of the U.S. Even if the rancher is not complying to the demands of Agenda 21 the Sheriff could diffuse a potentially lethal and bloody replay of Ruby Ridge or Waco. It is more than frightening to know that your own gov. sends snipers to draw a bead on American citizens. Perhaps Lon Tomohisa Horiuchi needs overtime pay.

Cher did you see the goose-neck trailers loaded with hay? Did you see the “park patrol” closing the gates to the land on the other side of the cattle guard. The cattle guard is the array of steel poles lying together to cross the ditch where the “park patrol” were closing the gates on all the trailers full of cattle feed and horses that would have been ridden to heard the cattle to the feed. That is the way a real rancher would work his cattle, on horseback. The cows were all out there in the land that was forbidden to the rancher and the ranch hands. That many cattle, as someone stated, would need square miles to graze. It use to be called “open range” ranchers let their cattle graze for free. The govt. started charging for grazing after ” not sure what to call them” people said it was not right for them to have this for free. Lots of ranchers hate this law. No one used the land. Cattle grazing keeps the dry brush to a minimum, which helps stop fires from spreading.
What scares me is them bringing up “free speech zones”. And kidnapping his son. That is what scares me.
