The political tension, which in my opinion has been provoked by left-wing radicals and treasonous news networks, has reached dangerous levels today after a left-wing activists opened fire at a congressional baseball game.
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise is in a stable condition in a Virginia hospital after he and four others were shot by a sicko at a Republican congressional baseball practice session on Wednesday morning.
The four others injured include two Capitol Police officers. Zack Barth, an aide to Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas, was also shot, the congressman’s office said.
The gunman, James T. Hodgkinson, a radical left-wing Bernie Sanders Supporter, came to the game to kill as many Republican Members of Congress as possible.
A Killing Field…
Senator Rand Paul, who was at the scene but was not injured, described it as a ‘killing field.’
Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) recounted an “odd” encounter he had as he was leaving the field just minutes before the shooting: “There was a guy that walked up to us that was asking whether it was Republicans or Democrats out there, and it was just a little odd,” DeSantis told Fox News.
Mark Walker (R-N.C.) told NBC News that it appeared the “gunman was there to kill as many Republican members as possible.” Walker, who was at the practice for the upcoming annual congressional baseball game in Alexandria, Virginia, confirmed he was “shaken but okay.”
The accused shooter, James T. Hodgkinson, 66, was a rabid left winger who was on a mission to take down President Trump. He posted a link to a Change.org petition in late-March that included the notation that, “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”
The Post‘s Robert Costa interviewed a man who says that he and Hodgkinson campaigned for Sanders in Iowa:
Charles Orear, 50, a restaurant manager from St. Louis, said in an interview Wednesday that he became friendly with James T. Hodgkinson, whom law enforcement officials identified as the shooter, during their work in Iowa on Sen. Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign. Orear said Hodgkinson was a passionate progressive and showed no signs of violence or malice toward others.

His Facebook page reads, “Democratic Socialism in Three Words: ‘We the People.'”
One of his most recent posts says, “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”

Left-Wing Radicals Celebrate Shooting
As soon as news broke on the shooting, left-wing radicals took to Twitter to celebrate the shooting and call for more violence against Republicans and Trump supporters.
Liberal James Bryant on Twitter: It should have been Trump.
Author Malcolm Harris, “joked”(?) that the shooter may have simply been acting in self-defense:
The founder of left-wing blogs Daily Kos and Vox, Markos Moulitsas took to Twitter to celebrate and mock Republicans saying , “Republicans are getting what they want.”
A Facebook group called “Terminate the Republican Party” took to Facebook to celebrate today’s mass shooting. The Belleville News-Democrat reported that Hodgkinson belonged to this group.
Rep. Steve King (R-IA) blames “the left” for rising political violence. From WaPo:
“America has been divided,” said Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), who, suit in tie, stopped by the crime scene to pray, was viscerally angry about his own colleagues being attacked. “And the center of America is disappearing, and the violence is appearing in the streets, and it’s coming from the left.”
