Publix choose to use September 11th to announce a ban on the open carry of firearms in their stores. Publix has joined a growing number of retailers who are championing anti-gun sentiments and banning customers from exercising their second amendment right to protect themselves by open carrying a firearm.
“Publix respectfully requests that only law enforcement officials openly carry firearms in our stores,” the company said in a statement Wednesday.
Ironically, Publix choose to make the announcement on September 11th, a day when Muslim extremists attacked our country with box cutters and airplanes; in my opinion, this is no accident.
This is right out of the good old communism handbook; in a covert way they are using Soviet-style propaganda to tie gun-owners to terrorists. And for those who think this is an exaggeration, just remember that just last week San Francisco declared the NRA a domestic terrorist organization and the Attorney General of New York publicly declared the same thing.
Of course, there are those in the media that will pretend this isn’t a coordinated attack on gun owners, I mean it’s just a coincidence that our nation’s retailers are all at the same time banning open carry, right?
Give me a break!
Publix is one of the largest grocery chains in the country, throw in this month’s bans from Walmart, Kroger, CVS, Wegmans, Walgreens, Aldi, and Meijer and the writing is on the wall; these corporate conglomerates are acting as an arm of the Democrat party/government.
Of course, the same liberals who demanded a Christian Bakery bake wedding cakes for gays now love so-called free-market capitalism and are championing the fact that private business can ban anything they want.
Well if there was a such thing as free-market capitalism then they might have a case (never mind the Christian bakery, we are talking about a bunch of mentally-ill hypocrites liberals whose tolerance only goes as far as their ideology allow), but the fact is none of these companies are anything close to doing business in the free market. In fact, if it wasn’t for the U.S. government pouring billions of our tax dollars into these businesses every year in the form of tax breaks, subsidies, and the food stamp scam that keeps them all alive and running, none of these so-called free-market businesses would exist!
