It’s not a secret that the Democrats are out to kill the second amendment, but until recently Republicans at least pretended to be for gun owners – despite decades of caving on major gun legislation and generally stabbing us in the back every time we stopped paying attention.
But Republicans no longer seem to fear openly supporting gun control legislation, hell the NRA isn’t going to hold them accountable, they stopped caring about gun owners long ago.
Republicans and Lindsey Graham Push for Gun Confiscation Laws
A Republican coalition in Congress, led by Sen. Lindsey Graham and that dipshit Marco Rubio, are seeking to push a variety of gun control bills and further neuter the second amendment. Graham has scheduled a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing for March 26 to consider legislation to confiscate a large number of guns with no notice and no due process whatsoever.
The proposal, co-sponsored by Richard Blumenthal (D-Ct.), will create a federal gun confiscation program where police, an angry family member, or even a scorned ex-lover can petition for a secret court hearing to strip a gun owner of his Second, Fourth, Fifth, and 14th Amendment rights.
According to the Daily Caller:
Under Blumenthal-Graham, the first thing a gun owner would learn of the proceedings is when the police showed up at his door in the middle of the night, ready to ransack his home and, if he resisted, to arrest or kill him.

In Ferndale, Maryland, a 60-year-old man was shot to death by police serving a “red flag order” at 5:17 a.m. It turned out that the complainant was a non-immediate relative seeking to punish the gun owner after an argument they had.
In January, Mr. Bubbles himself (Marco Rubio) introduced a bill to push gun confiscations throughout the United States. The Extreme Risk Protection Order and Violence Prevention Act of 2019, is a version of what Florida put in place that will allow the government to seize your weapons if they deem you are a threat to yourself or public safety.
Rubio teamed up with another turncoat Republican, U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, to introduce the bill that is so radical it includes language that could see gun owners lose their rights simply for drinking too much!
But, but…The NRA man, they’ll save us!
Not so fast, Skippy! The NRA doesn’t give two shits about your second amendment rights. They are too busy raising funds, pushing phony cooler controversies, and pushing some ex-Clinton campaign bar hag on us to care — Oh, I’m sorry; you didn’t realize Dana Loesch is a fraud who used to work for the Clintons?
That’s right folks; the NRA has abandoned you. In fact, last year Chris W. Cox, executive director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action, put out a statement endorsing “red flag” gun confiscations.
But, but… Trump will save us, right?
Full Disclosure; I voted for Trump and agree with many of the policies he CAMPAIGNED on, but so far, his record on supporting gun owners is piss poor at best. I know, he’s playing 4D chess and the rest of us simpletons just don’t understand what he’s really doing.
Bullshit, he allowed unconstitutional ATF/DOJ gun control regulations to be put in place that included a ban on Bump Stocks. And let us not forget that he also had a Republican controlled congress for two years, and neither of them did anything to push for nationwide CCW Reciprocity. They allowed the bill to die in Congress!
A Glimmer of hope?
Gun Owners of America and The Firearms Coalition (organization who actually care about our rights) have filed a federal lawsuit against the Trump Administration.
According to the GOA, Trump’s new ATF regulations would define bump stocks as “machineguns” — and, down the road, the new definition could implicate the right to own AR-15’s and many other semi-automatic firearms.
“If there’s anything that irritates you more than a president like Obama who’s trying to stab you in the heart, it’s one who is trying to stab you in the back,” said Michael Hammond, legislative counsel of Gun Owners of America
“I don’t think Trump understands that just because he goes to 10 rallies and says ‘I love the Second Amendment’ that if he does things that are dramatically anti-Second Amendment, our people are going to be mad. Our people are not stupid,” Hammond said.
“The bottom line is President Trump has been more anti-gun in his tenure, in terms of legislation and regulations, than the Obama administration,” said Brandon Combs, president of the Firearms Policy Coalition.
