Being cold while you’re camping really sucks! Here’s a neat, and cheap little way to stay warm on those cold nights out in the wild.
While some people swear by those chemical hand warmers, a better and cheaper way to stay warm can be found in your old plastic water bottles. I’ve used this method a number of times while camping, and it’s a great way to get some use out of those old BPA water bottles.
To keep nice and warm right before bed:
- Heat up some water over your campfire.
- Pour it into your water bottle, and fill it about 3/4 of the way. (Make sure the cap is really tight)
- Before going to bed slide it in your sleeping bag.
- Smile because your nice and toasty warm.
I like using hot rocks from the outer ring of my fire. Stays warm for hours
