OFFGRID Survival is heading to the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where manufacturers are bringing new off-road builds, expedition equipment, backcountry trailers and gear designed to take you well beyond the pavement.
The 2026 SEMA Show hits Las Vegas November 3–6, and while most of the automotive press will be chasing supercars and high-dollar custom builds, we’ll be spending our time looking at the vehicles and equipment built for getting the hell away from civilization.
This year, SEMA is expanding its off-road and adventure exhibits, bringing trucks, SUVs, side-by-sides, trailers and powersports equipment together in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall. Manufacturers are already announcing new builds and products, including an all-new all-wheel-drive race truck from Camburg Racing, a custom overlanding trailer from Tmat Products, and a collection of Bilstein-equipped off-road rigs from Turn 14 Distribution.
We’re also looking forward to seeing what companies in the expedition camper, backcountry RV and off-grid trailer markets have planned for the show.
New Off-Road Trucks and 4×4 Builds
One of the biggest confirmed announcements comes from Camburg Racing, which plans to debut an entirely new all-wheel-drive race truck design at SEMA. The company is also launching a new aftermarket shock absorber lineup developed using technology from its off-road racing program.
Camburg has been involved in serious desert racing for years, including competition at events like the Mint 400, and we’re interested in seeing what its latest suspension technology could mean for the trucks people actually drive into the backcountry.
Turn 14 Distribution is also preparing a major outdoor exhibit in the Silver Lot, with multiple off-road builds showcasing Bilstein suspension equipment and overlanding components. The company has been involved in some impressive builds, including its previous Bilstein-equipped Jeep Gladiator Rubicon.
We’ll also be checking out what ARB, FOX, RealTruck, Westin and other established off-road manufacturers are bringing to the show, from suspension systems and vehicle protection to recovery equipment and cargo systems.
Expedition Campers, Backcountry RVs and Off-Road Trailers
This is one of the sections we’re most interested in covering.
SEMA’s 2026 exhibitor list includes Bliss Mobil USA, a manufacturer of expedition habitats designed for serious off-grid travel, along with BRS Offroad, a company specializing in rugged camping trailers. Both are the kinds of manufacturers we want to spend time with, although neither has publicly confirmed a specific new camper or trailer debut for the show.
We’re also interested in what companies like Lippert, ARB and other manufacturers are developing for the growing off-road camping market.
One confirmed display comes from Tmat Products, which is bringing a 2025 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road and a custom-built overlanding trailer to West Hall booth 56153. The company will demonstrate its modular cargo management system along with newly released accessories and upcoming products.
The big thing we’re looking for is equipment that actually makes backcountry travel easier: compact expedition trailers, truck-bed campers, rooftop tents, integrated water systems, mobile kitchens, solar charging equipment and battery systems that can keep a campsite running without electrical hookups.
We’re especially interested in the growing market for trailers and campers that can handle rough trails instead of being restricted to paved RV parks.
Side-by-Sides, Dirt Bikes and Backcountry Transportation
For 2026, SEMA is launching an expanded Powersports, Side-by-Side & Lifestyle section alongside its truck and off-road exhibits.
The new area covers side-by-sides, dirt bikes, motorcycles, trailers, tow vehicles and adventure equipment. Denago Powersports is among the companies confirmed for the expanded section.
We’re interested in more than recreational toys. Side-by-sides and utility vehicles are increasingly useful for remote-property access, hauling supplies, hunting camps and reaching areas where full-size trucks have trouble traveling.
We’ll be looking at new UTV accessories, cargo systems, suspension upgrades, vehicle protection and equipment designed for longer trips into remote terrain.
Recovery Equipment, Storage and Off-Grid Gear
Some of the most useful equipment at SEMA isn’t attached to a six-figure show truck.
Black Horse Off Road is scheduled to exhibit truck accessories, including racks, cargo systems and protective equipment. Bubba Rope, known for vehicle recovery products, is also on the participating-manufacturer list, along with ALL-TOP OVERLAND and other companies serving the off-road market.
Klein Tools has announced a new 17-in-1 low-profile ratcheting socket set that will debut at SEMA. It features an 11-position locking flex-head design intended for tight spaces like engine bays. That’s the sort of compact repair equipment worth checking out when you’re putting together a vehicle tool kit.
We’ll also be hunting down new recovery boards, winches, onboard air systems, portable compressors, vehicle lighting and the latest in off-grid electrical equipment.
Portable power is particularly interesting to us. Whether it’s lithium battery systems, solar charging, vehicle-mounted inverters or power equipment built into an expedition trailer, we’ll be looking for products that can serve double duty for camping and emergency preparedness.
What We’re Going to SEMA to Find
For OFFGRID Survival, the interesting part of SEMA isn’t necessarily the most expensive truck or the wildest custom build. It’s finding equipment that makes people more capable of traveling, camping and operating independently.
Can a compact trailer realistically carry enough food, water and supplies for a week in the backcountry? Are the latest truck campers getting lighter and more practical? Are portable power systems improving enough to replace generators? What new tools and recovery equipment are actually worth throwing in the back of your truck?
And which companies are building products that will hold up to real use instead of just looking impressive under convention center lights?
SEMA’s truck and off-road exhibits have grown into a major part of the show, and with the addition of dedicated powersports and adventure displays this year, we’re expecting plenty to cover.
OFFGRID Survival will be covering the 2026 SEMA Show from Las Vegas November 3–6, bringing you new product announcements, off-road vehicles, expedition campers, trailers, survival equipment and whatever else catches our attention.
When we are not hitting up the dozens of SEMA after parties, we’ll be focusing on the gear we’d actually want to take into the backcountry, not just the stuff that looks good sitting on the show floor.
