Shooting on the Appalachian Trail

A 25-mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail is back open after two people camping near the trail were shot Tuesday night. The suspect, Randall Lee Smith, was actually convicted of killing two people on the Appalachian Trail almost 30 years ago. After spending 15 years in prison, the state actually released this nut-job on parole in 1996, which he completed in 2006.
