Money and Survival go hand and hand. While you can survive without it, having it sure makes things a lot easier.
Having you financial life in order is going to be much more important to your survival in the coming years. I have been listening to a lot of different financial experts, and one of the guys that make the most sense is Dave Ramsey. His advice on managing your money is pretty darn good, and it seems to work for a lot of people.
He is a huge proponent of paying off all your debts from smallest to largest, saving a three-to-six-month emergency fund, cutting up you credit cards, and growing your wealth with your current income. To me, this sounds like a good plan for financial security and preparedness.
