Despite a struggling economy this year’s Outdoor Retailer Show is bigger and better than any of the previous shows. It was so big that some of the exhibitors were actually put across the way at the Energy Solutions Arena.
It was really something to see, every inch of available space was taken up by exhibitors eager to show off their latest and greatest outdoor gear. Even the arena’s walkways were flooded with new exhibitors excited to show off what they had to offer.
Outdoor Retailer is booked through 2010, but with the shows growing popularity many are starting to wonder if the show will be looking for a new home. Back in 2006 a $58 million expansion was added offering exhibitors an extra 145,000 square feet of exhibit space. But the summer show was so popular that they quickly filled the extra space and actually had to move a lot of the new exhibitors to Energy Solutions Arena.
A few of the exhibitors that we talked to worried that attendees found it too hard to find them, while others didn’t even know that there were exhibitors in the Energy Solutions Arena.
Overall, most exhibitors said the show was a smashing success, and I really have to agree. Even the vendors who ended up having to exhibit at the Energy Solutions Arena, got to show off their gear to a huge amount of eager buyers.
After seeing everything that the summer show had to offer, I am already eagerly waiting to see what the winter show has to offer.
