Lightweight Trailers Everywhere at OR

In response to high Gas prices the industry has come up with some exciting lightweight trailers that even the smallest car can pull. As I walked around the OR Show I noticed that these little trailers were everywhere. One of the trailers that grabbed my attention was the “GO”

SylvanSport’s “GO Mobile Adventure Gear,” was named “Best of Adventure Gear 2008,” by the National Geographic Adventure. The newly introduced multi-mode trailer is like a backpack on wheels. The Trailer can do everything including; hauling all your gear, comfortably sleep four people, carry your kayaks, canoes, bikes, ATVs, motorcycles and other toys that you can think of. The “’GO’ is designed to easily morphs from a low-profile trailer, to a rugged hefty-toy-hauler, to a comfortable camper that can be pulled behind almost any vehicle.

Specs:

  • Hyper-Engineered aluminum frame, weighs only 700 lbs
  • Rated to haul up to 800 pounds of gear.
  • The  ‘GO’ can also handle full sheets of plywood like any full-size pickup.
  • Converts to a 4 person camper that can be pulled behind almost any vehicle.
  • Hydraulic damping system makes it easy to load your toys (no ramps required!)
  • Retail price of $7,995

  1. If I can save $7,995 by just dragging the tent from the trunk or roof of my Honda Civic, well, guess what I’m going to do?
$7,995 buys a lot of wheat and beans.
But a lightweight small-car trailer is an excellent concept.
