This is a warning to anyone who is stocking up on infant formulas. It is also a wakeup call for people to start growing their own food and to eat Organic.
The killer chemical Melamine, that was popping up in Chinese infant formula, has now been found in formula here in the United States. The Food and Drug Administration admitted that the industrial chemical melamine has been detected in samples of some of the top-selling U.S. infant formula.
The Food and Drug Administration insists that there’s no danger to kids, but this is the same stuff that killed and injured so many small children over in China. Why the FDA continues to protect corporations over people is a damn shame, but when they allow innocent children to be hurt it’s just down right criminal.
The story broke when the Associated Press filed a Freedom of Information Act which forced the FDA to disclose tests that showed they had detected melamine and the presence of cyanuric acid in a sample of one popular formula.
Three firms have now been confirmed to have melamine in their formulas, Abbott Laboratories, Nestle and Mead Johnson. The three companies manufacture more than 90 percent of all infant formula produced in the United States.
After the Melamine was found in the U.S Formula the FDA switched its zero tolerance policy, saying it would now accept some melamine in formula. These people are SICK!!!! Profit over the safety of infants, what a bunch of criminals we have running the FDA.
I used to think staying away from anything that came from China was the answer but apparently you can’t trust anything produced here in The United States.
So what do you do?]
- Grow your own Food! If you grow it, you know what’s in it!
- Make your own Baby food out of Fresh Organic Vegetables and Fruit. Forget about that crap they sell in the store, it’s cheaper and safer to make it yourself.
- Eat ORGANIC – While I’m sure there are some bad organic companies, it is probably the safest option you have (aside from growing your own food).
- Buy from Small local companies. These Large corporations don’t care about anything but profit.
I will not eat anything that is not organic, it’s appalling what these companies are allowed to do
