Bear Grylls, host of Man Vs Wild, appeared on Fox News to respond to reports that he stays in luxury hotels instead of the harsh conditions shown in his show Man Vs Wild. There have been many allegations by people close to the show that Grylls doesn’t actually do the stuff seen on the show.
Survival Consultants working on the show have reported that many of his escapades were not exactly as they were shown on TV. Sources have also reported that Grylls stays in four star hotels while the shots are set up by the crew.
Mark Weinert, a survival consultant on the desert island episode, told reporters that Grylls never built the raft shown on the island Episode. Weinert claims that he led a team that built the raft, which was later dismantled so that Grylls could be filmed constructing it on camera.
Whatever the case may be people need to realize that Man Vs Wild is more entertainment than actual survival. While the show can be fun to watch, trying what Bear Grylls does in a real survival situation may just cost you your life.
